Green Innovation Saves Textile Industry in India
Tirupur in Tamil Nadu owes its prosperity to its vibrant textile industry but the coloured dyes they release into their water bodies had gone on to destroy the farmland around the area, leading to intense protests among the farmers. Tirupur now saves 100 million litres of water each day through effluent treatment plants.
