NGO Asks Gurdwaras to Preach against Stubble Burning
Gurdwaras in the rural areas may now mobilise opinion against wheat stubble burning. The dense, poisonous smoke from wheat stubble burning raises serious environmental concerns such as death of fauna due to air pollution, respiratory diseases in people, harm to the Golden Temple, and accidents due to invisibility caused by dense smoke on highways.
