Thousands of Dead Fish Washed Ashore Bengaluru's Ulsoor Lake
While the limit for dissolved oxygen levels set by the Central Pollution Control Board is 4 milligram per litre, it was less than one-fourth of the required levels in the water body where dead fish was spotted. Death of the fish was attributed to stagnated sewage in the lake, which is a major reason for the DO drop, ammonia poisoning, and the heat.
