Shanghai Education System Number One in the World
Shanghai students have topped the international school tests, and the World Bank attributes the success to the quality of teaching there. Teaching considered a prestigious job in this Chinese city, includes constant teacher training and upgrading of skills. Again, stronger schools were "twinned" with weaker schools to raise the latter's standards.
