Cleaner Sacked for Having a Cup of Coffee, Reinstated
Unfairly sacked for having a cup of coffee on the job, International student Raj Bista who worked as a cleaner at an inner Sydney office building, was awarded $9187.20 in damages and regained the right to return to his old job. The Fair Work Commission deemed Bista's dismissal for ‘serious misconduct’ as unjust and unreasonable.
